As EXPECTED, Roger soared high to win his 3rd consecutive Wimbledon title and 5th Grandslam belt that firmly put him on his Number 1 world ranking. He played flawless tennis and Roddick looked like an amateur out there. Not even his huge serves could save him! Roger took home the trophy in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6, 6-4. You could really see how special the win was for him. He was sobbing right after the match and kept saying he still couldn't believe that he won 3 straight, a record that my all-time favorite player Pete Sampras also holds.
It was an exciting match! A sweet victory indeed!

Kudos to my favorite Williams sister, Venus, for beating Davenport (who I never really liked) and also winning her third Wimbledon title. She won in 2000 and 2001. That was a classic match and Venus couldn't stop jumping for joy. I would do the same, if I were her, after going thru injury and being ranked just 14. She was awesome!
